When and where is RYLA 2020?

  • RYLA will be run in 2020 from the 4th (morning) – 10th (afternoon) of July. Please be aware that participants need to commit to attending the entire experience (no absences).
  • RYLA will be held in the picturesque setting of Nunyara Conference Centre, 5 Burnell Drive, Belair. Participants are expected to organise their own transport to and from the venue.


Who should attend RYLA?

  • 18 – 26 year olds displaying leadership potential (ie within their workplace, communities, sports teams, studies etc) who have not previously attended RYLA and have not attended RYPEN within the last two years.


How much will RYLA cost?

  • RYLA participation is only possible with the generous support of Rotary clubs who provide the full cost of attendance ($850) via individual sponsorship.
  • If you have a connection with a Rotary Club and they have agreed to sponsor you then your place at RYLA is guaranteed. You will be asked to list that club in the registration process.
  • If not, the organising committee will seek to match you to a Rotary club to be sponsored. Your attendance at the camp can only be confirmed once this match has been made.
  • You can assist this process by making direct contact with a Rotary club in your area – please email ryla-rypen@rotary9500.org with the suburb you live in and we can advise you of your local club and advise the club of your interest.

What do others think of RYLA?

When and where is RYPEN 2020?

  • RYPEN in 2020 starts on Friday 27th of March (mid-afternoon) until Sunday 29th of March (late afternoon). It is essential to attend for the full duration of the weekend.
  • RYPEN will be held in the picturesque setting of Nunyara Conference Centre, Belair, South Australia.
  • Awardees will be picked up and dropped off from either Twelve25 Salisbury Youth Enterprise Centre or Franklin Street Bus Station, Adelaide by coach/bus.


Who should attend RYPEN?

  • 14-17 year olds involved in their local communities who have not previously attended RYPEN.


How much will RYPEN cost?

  • Each participant on RYPEN is sponsored by a Rotary Club for the full cost of attendance ($350) – you will need to organise your own transport to and from the drop off and pick points listed above.
  • You may have heard about RYPEN through a Rotary club contact and if so, you will be asked to list that club in the registration process.
